The Humane Society has a very active adoption programme, with no maximum holding period. All dogs and cats adopted from the Humane Society are spayed or neutered before going to their new homes. Dogs and pups are also wormed, dipped for fleas and ticks, and vaccinated. All dogs over 6 months of age are also microchipped and registered in accordance with the Dogs Registration & Control Act, 2006. Cats are wormed, treated for fleas, and are litter box trained. While at the Shelter, all animals receive regular exercise, grooming and socialization, either by Shelter staff or by volunteers. Every effort is made to ensure that they will be suitable companions for their new families. We also stock a supply of dog collars, leashes, bowls, poop scoops and pet foods for sale to assist adopters in preparing for their new charges. The following pets are just a few of the hundreds of Shelter animals who have been rehomed and are enjoying their new families. If you can offer a pet a new home, please visit us or call us for details of the animals currently available for adoption.
